DIGITAL INTERN - FALL 2026
New York, NY and Los Angeles, CAPrimary Wave Entertainment is seeking college students to participate in our internship program in either the New York or Los Angeles office (currently remote). The Digital Intern will help produce and promote marketing content for Primary Wave clients, including but not limited to social media campaigns, content creation, industry research and outreach, and more. Interns will work directly with the digital marketing department to assist with conceptualizing and executing campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Passionate about music and the marketing & promotion of it!
• Marketing, Music, Music Business, or Communications majors preferred
• Working knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tik Tok, Bandsintown, Songkick, Snapchat, etc.
• Experience creating and/or scheduling posts (media and verbiage) for social media platforms
• Ability to perform and analyze research about clients/artists and their current events and career history, as well as trending topics in music and entertainment
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign or simple photo editing platforms such as Canva is a major plus!
• Experience in video editing and content creation is a major plus!
• Experience with HTML layout and/or email layout is a major plus!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of social media and website posts and campaigns
• Brainstorm unique and engaging campaigns to promote artist releases, anniversaries, and overall awareness
• Assist with asset creation (simple video and photo editing)
• Track social platforms to research new trends and present creative ideas of artist engagement
• Collecting & analyzing data on social performance and DSP insights
• Track fan engagement on social platforms for client accounts

BRANDING INTERN - FALL 2026
New York, NY and Los Angeles, CAPrimary Wave is seeking to hire an intern in NYC to focus on Branding and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
To support our music publishing catalog business by identifying marketing opportunities that will result to increasing the net publishing shares for that catalog. This is a huge priority when working at a music publishing company and the work could include the assistance in any one of the following areas listed below:
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials including pitch decks, artist one sheets, and sizzle reels
• Conduct brand/agency research in an effort to identify potential partnerships and appropriate contacts
• Performing an analysis of our artists to ascertain artist history and demographic data
• Contribute to team ideation sessions for potential new artists/catalogue initiatives
• Assist team in liaising with other departments including synch team, artist managers, and digital design
• Perform standard clerical tasks including scheduling, asset organization, and business-related errands.
• Assist in execution of event marketing activations (sponsorships) and company events
Requirements:
• Have experience in Photoshop/Illustrator/Creative suite software
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite
• Familiarity with Marketing, advertising, brand licensing, event activations and sponsorships
Secondary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update copyright information in our database.
- Conduct research on song catalogs, songwriter credits, and copyright registrations.

· Analyze the writer/producer credits on Spotify’s New Music Friday each week
Requirements:

The main focus of our department is to generate opportunities in television, film, advertising, video games, and other new media for our roster of songwriters and talent management clients.
Duties include:
• Researching film & TV projects in trade magazines and on various web sites
• Managing database of film/TV projects in Google Sheets
• Analyzing songs/recordings, and creating musical/thematic descriptions for the purpose of audio meta-tagging in online music databases
• Intern will have the opportunity to assist with song selection/pitching for film & TV project music searches

- Learn how Primary Wave’s iconic catalogs generate revenue
- Review recording and publishing contracts for key terms.
- Ensure that royalties paid match the language in the agreements.
- Analyze royalty data to answer questions.
