A&R Creative Manager, Publishing (New York, NY)

Primary Wave Music publishing is seeking an A&R creative manager based in New York who will work with songwriters and producers to set up sessions, critique records, manage calendars and budgets, track industry charts, and source new talent. The right candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and relationships with A&Rs and managers. Must be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to multitask as this role encompasses both the creative and administrative aspects of publishing A&R. This person must be adaptable to various tasks across marketing, event management, creative pitching for synchronization, budgeting, etc.

Music Streaming Specialist (Nashville, TN)


Gaither Music & Green Hill Music Group are seeking a Music Streaming Specialist to join our digital marketing team in Nashville. You will identify and curate the music playlist listening experiences for our catalog of religious, adult contemporary, and family listeners on various DSP’s (Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, etc.). You will be instrumental in how we build artist stories, drive meaningful fan connections and grow artist careers.


  • Develop marketing strategies that help grow our streaming narrative.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners across all DSP platforms.
  • Build creative artist & “themed” playlists for Gaither and Green Hill roster of artist. Pitch and secure editorial playlists, features, and other promotions & marketing opportunities for our artists.
  • Ability to analyze data around a song and draw conclusions informing the strategy to continue building songs at streaming services.
  • Constantly work to discover the new features, understand those implications, and teach methodology across the company.
  • Think globally and help develop strategies that expose audience to new audiences.
  • Work closely with internal talent management and publishing teams to develop and maximize opportunities.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of music industry experience; strong preference given to candidates with digital marketing or DSP experience
  • Demonstrated passion for music, especially in the religious, adult contemporary, and family music genres
  • Strong knowledge of music publishing and catalog repertoire
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Superior communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent technical skill set
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus

Digital Design Intern (Summer 2019)

Primary Wave Entertainment is seeking college students to participate in our internship program in our Los Angeles office. The Digital Design Intern will produce marketing content for Primary Wave clients including social media graphics, ads, and gifs, and will work closely with the digital marketing department to assist with social media campaigns.


  • Graphic Design, Fine Art, or Visual Communications majors preferred
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience in photo retouching
  • Experience with HTML layout and/or email layout preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate music fan and interest in the music business


  • Assist with the creation of social media and website assets
  • Create designs for digital marketing campaigns
  • Resizing files and manipulating assets for production
  • Brainstorm unique and engaging concepts to assist the marketing department with campaign creation
  • Develop branding material including templates for presentations and reports

Music Intern (Summer 2019) 

Primary Wave Entertainment seeks college students to participate in our internship program in our Los Angeles office.

This Internship is separated into Three focuses. Please see below for a breakdown of requirements and responsibilities:


– Assisting in organizing and updating artists sheets and the latest SoundScan figures.
– Supporting the Management team in making sure deadlines are met and campaigns come together.


– Passion for discovering new talent and managing a music label
– An understanding or strong interest in the processes to get music to a consumer

Assignment: Choose an upcoming artist and create a management plan.


Publishing A&R: 

– Gathering song streaming performance data and analyzing roster and catalog information
– Measuring audience sizes  and following of various labels, publishers and specific artists


– Must have a general understanding of music publishing, copyright and pop songwriting
– Must have a strong knowledge of New Media and the New Music Business
– Previous work experience with record labels and/or music publishers is appreciated
– Familiar with PRS, BMI, ASCAP

Assignment: Create a Playlist of up and coming artists, pick 1 artist and devise a plan to pitch and promote them.



– Data entry and cleaning up artist information.
– Researching master/sync license owners and publishing info listed on PRS sites
– Listening to and digesting music for tagging purposes for Ingesting.


– Must have strong knowledge of copyrights and publishing, and synchronization license.
– Must have a clear understanding of the difference between compositions and master recording.
– Familiar with PRS’s.

Assignment: Choose your favorite film, TV show, ad, or game and describe what you like about the music, what about it stands out.

Streaming Intern (Fall 2019) 

Primary Wave is seeking to hire an intern in NYC to focus on streaming & playlisting. You will work with Primary Wave’s digital & streaming team.

-Create artist & company playlists
-Brainstorm ideas to promote our management & publishing catalog
-Assist digital team with playlist initiatives
-Craft pitch letters to DSP editors & independent playlisters
-Research/identify branded & independent playlists

-This is an unpaid internship, so you must receive college credit.
-Demonstrated interest/study in the music business (experience in playlisting preferred)
-Adept at working across multiple genres of music
-Deep knowledge of the digital world, especially with key streaming platforms
-Comfort with using Photoshop or other image editing software preferred
-Audio editing capability a plus
