Sync Director & Sync Manager

We are looking for two exceptional Creative Sync Licensing executives to join our team, one in New York and one in Los Angeles. 

The Sync Director position in our New York office is advertising-focused, and the ideal candidate has 7+ years experience in pitching for ad-sync, or in music supervision for advertising. Should have established relationships within the licensing/creative community and a proven track record generating creative opportunities/campaigns.


The Sync Manager position based in our Los Angeles office is focused on creating sync opportunities across film, TV, trailer, video games as well as advertising. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years experience pitching for sync, and an established network in the creative sync community.

Digital Marketing Manager

In this dynamic role, we will rely on you to develop and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns for our company and artist roster. More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop overall digital strategy and build/execute innovative campaigns to further our artists’ data capture, sales, and advertising goals, and react to social analytics in order to improve the success of these campaigns.
  • Develop creative out of the box ideas and campaigns
  • Create and manage internal communication decks as required
  • Create social media content calendars and monitor all social media pages
  • Direct and manage relations with internal digital team as well as 3rd party partners and agency clients
  • Using insights, analytics & consumer insights to inform effective marketing initiatives and decisions
  • Direct and approve creative processes for all internal and external marketing collateral
  • Work closely with internal talent management & publishing teams to develop and maximize opportunities
  • Manage artist web properties, e-commerce stores with any updates, SEO optimization, and keyword usage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in the music or entertainment fields managing digital marketing campaigns and relationships with digital and social partners.
  • Expert, native user of social media platforms.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to read an audience and develop a communication strategy depending on that audience.

Senior Director, Brand Marketing

The ideal candidate will include experience working either at a corporate brand or within a corporate marketing environment that has strategically worked directly with brands to establishing marketing campaigns.   This individual does not need to have direct music experience at a label or artist management company but rather a savvy marketing mind with business development skills.  Candidates that come from a media company, entertainment company, advertising agency, event company, or of course, a marketing team from a corporate brand are all welcome to apply. Brand Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Los Angeles based strategic marketing, sales-driven individual to join our artist talent management division and team.  If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for all types of music, sales-minded and motivated to build and sell new sponsorship and endorsement programs for our artist clients, have a positive attitude and adaptable personality, ability to multitask, and are looking to join our marketing team, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Primary Wave seeks a sales-minded marketer who has three to five years of experience in working with artists/celebrities/talent in representation and creating license opportunities, tour sponsorships and/or brand endorsements.

This role will be tasked to develop and execute creative, unique marketing programs that support our vast artist management clients.  This role may include but not be limited to the following needs of a sales-minded executive;

  • Product placement.  Approach corporate brands for cash to integrate products in artist music videos and content
  • Work closely with our digital team to secure brand partnerships to integrate and support some of our social media and digital marketing campaigns to support our artist projects
  • Secure tour sponsorships for our artist each year
  • Research and pitch brands to partner with individual artists for potential artist endorsements
  • Seek personal opportunities for our artist to host private performances at corporate events, appearances and possible speaking engagements for a fee
  • Create license programs with our artist to drive revenue and exposure for our artist clients

The ideal candidate will include experience working at a recording company, music management company, sponsorship agency, public relations agency, talent agency, music publishing company, advertising agency and/or media company.  This individual will be sales-minded, driven, motivated and be able to work directly with artists and their managers.

This role reports into the President of brand marketing but will also be taking direction from each individual manager based on new projects or strategies as well as our marketing staff on the west coast.  This person will have access to a tremendous database of brand and agency contacts at their disposal and the full support of the marketing team to help develop ideas, pitch presentations, collaborative ideas from other team members and the direct support of the sales staff for meetings that they set up.

Digital Design Intern (New York, NY – Spring 2020)

Primary Wave Entertainment is seeking college students to participate in our internship program in either the New York or Los Angeles office. The Digital Design Intern will produce marketing content for Primary Wave clients including social media graphics, ads, and gifs, and will work closely with the digital marketing department to assist with social media campaigns.


  • Passionate about music and the marketing & promotion of it!
  • Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Art, or Visual Communications majors preferred
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a major plus!
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in photo retouching is a major plus!

Branding and Marketing Intern (New York, NY – Spring 2020) 

Primary Wave is seeking to hire an intern in NYC to focus on Branding and Marketing.


To support our music publishing catalog business by identifying marketing opportunities that will result in increasing the net publishing shares for that catalog.  This is a huge priority when working at a music publishing company and the work could include the assistance in any one of the following areas listed below:

  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials including pitch decks, artist one-sheets, and sizzle reels
  • Conduct brand/agency research in an effort to identify potential partnerships and appropriate contacts
  • Performing an analysis of our artists to ascertain artist history and demographic data
  • Contribute to team ideation sessions for potential new artists/catalog initiatives
  • Assist team in liaising with other departments including synch team, artist managers, and digital design
  • Perform standard clerical tasks including scheduling, asset organization, and business-related errands.
  • Assist in the execution of event marketing activations (sponsorships) and company events


  • Have experience in Photoshop/Illustrator/Creative suite software
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
  • Familiarity with Marketing, advertising, brand licensing, event activations and sponsorships
