Dante Jones is a writer, producer, and artist originally from Denver and now residing in LA. He is one half of the WBR signed duo – THEY. One of their first releases was a feature with ZHU – “Working For It” co-written with Skrillex, which has been streamed over 150 million times. Around the same time THEY. released their debut EP, Nü Religion, and a few months later found themselves playing their first ever live show—in front of a 1500-strong audience opening for Bryson Tiller on his Trapsoul tour. Today, the duo’s most recent EP – Fireside has features with Wiz Khalifa, Jessie Reyez, Jeremih, Vic Mensa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Gallant.
As a producer and writer, Dante works across genres. He’s influenced by R&B acts like Prince, Bobby Brown, and New Edition. He’s also very much a child of the 90s alternative and hip-hop scenes listening to Fall Out Boy, No Doubt, and Rage Agianst The Machine alongside The Diplomats and Juvenile. Dante won won a grammy for his work with Kelly Clarkson, he co-wrote and co-produced “Mr. Know It All” in addition he has cuts with Chris Brown, CeeLo, Jessie Reyez, Tori Kelly, Gallant, Emotional Oranges, Sinead Harnett, Khalid, Sabrina Claudio, and collaborates regularly with Timbaland. Dante is currently working on the next THEY. full length album, as well as writing/producing for others.
