Even’s songwriting career spans many years and stylistic borders from the multi-platinum international hit, “When Youʼre In Love With A Beautiful Woman” by rockʼs Dr Hook, to the three-week running #1 Pop Hit, “I Love A Rainy Night” by longtime partner and superstar, Eddie Rabbitt. He has accumulated an unprecedented 53 BMI Awards, which includes: 14 Pop Awards – 26 Country Awards – 1 Six Millionaire Award – 1 Five Millionaire Award – 1 Four Millionaire Award – 1 Three Millionaire Awards – 4 Two Millionaire Awards – 6 One Millionaire Awards, & 83 Chart Records, Country, Pop & Adult Contemporary. The Grammy and NSAI Songwriter Hall of Fame composer has written ASCAPʼs Most Played Song of the Year, “Love Will Turn You Around” by Kenny Rogers and won BMIʼs Robert J Burton Award, Song of the Year for “Suspicions” by Eddie Rabbitt, earning him the distinction as a BMI “Songwriter of the Century”. He received New Yorkʼs prestigious Big Apple Advertising Award for writing a series of National Miller Beer TV & Radio commercials, the CMA Triple Play Award (for having three #1 hits in one year) and has had #1 songs in numerous motion pictures and television productions. Some of the eclectic mix of major artists who have recorded his songs include Joe Cocker, Tim McGraw, Engelbert Humperdinck, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Blake Shelton, Mac Davis, Roger Miller, George Jones, Elvis Costello, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Ronnie Milsap, Paul Overstreet, Sammi Smith, Suzy Bogguss, Conway Twitty, Brenda Lee, Kim Carnes, The London Symphony, Julio Iglesias, and The Chipmunks. As a Record Producer, Even has had numerous #1 successes with Eddie Rabbitt and numerous chart records and albums with artists, Engelbert Humperdinck (Epic), Hillary Kanter (RCA), Stella Parton (Elektra/ Asylum) and Wood Newton (Elektra/Asylum). Even has contributed to the Nashville music scene by designing and building Emerald Sound Studios, Music Row’s premier award-winning recording studio, with partner/writer/producer, David Malloy, named Studio of the Year multiple times. As co-owner of DebDave Music Publishing with David and legendary mentor/engineer/ producer, Jim Malloy, they helped develop such successful writers as Paul Overstreet, Thom Schuyler, Hillary Kanter, Spady Brannan, Dan Tyler and Wood Newton, among others. Some of the hit songs published and created by these songwriters at DebDave Music were “Sixteenth Avenue,“Think About Love, “I Don’t Know Where To Start,” You & I,” “Real Love,” “Old Yellow Car, “It’s Such A Heartache, and “Years After You.”
