New York, NY (February 6, 2017) – Primary Wave Entertainment announced today that music industry veteran, Ken Lane will join the firm as a partner focusing on talent management via a joint venture with his company, Right Lane Management, LLC. Lane will bring in his own clients under the Right Lane Management, LLC umbrella and will also bring his vast experience and knowledge of the music industry to help widen Primary Wave’s impressive roster of artists. He will be based in the company’s New York office.

A 25-year veteran of the entertainment business, Ken Lane got his start at New York’s famed WHTZ/Z-100 radio station in the 80’s. He then segued into record promotion beginning at Chrysalis Records, then continuing his run in promotion at SBK/EMI Records Group, Jive, Arista, followed by his hiring as Senior VP, Promotion at Island Def Jam Music Group by Lyor Cohen and Jim Capparo. Ken most recently worked at Sirius/XM where he was instrumental in creating and producing exclusive on-air programming such as “Train Tracks” with Pat Monahan from Train and “Melissa’s Basement” with Melissa Etheridge. Throughout his two-plus decades in the music industry, he has worked with artists across all genres from A Tribe Called Quest, Carlos Santana, Backstreet Boys, Bon Jovi, Jay Z, The Killers, Ja Rule, Ashanti and more.
