About our team: The Digital team at Primary Wave Music is a full-service, agency-like marketing team, dedicated to building artist song catalogs and careers through the intersection of music and technology. We are responsible for all digital strategy and marketing for our artists on the roster, acting as artist partner. Through creative marketing campaigns, we build online and mobile fan communities, with an eye towards evolving the way that fans listen to, participate in, and purchase music and related products. We create, market and optimize content, develop and implement CRM/fan acquisition strategies, and work with new, engaging digital platforms and startups.

In this dynamic role, we will rely on you to develop and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns for our company and artist roster. More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:
• Develop overall digital strategy and build/execute innovative campaigns to further our artists’ online audience development, increase song catalog awareness/sales, data capture, and react to social analytics in order to improve the success of these campaigns.
• Develop creative out of the box ideas and campaigns.
• Ability to identify musical trends in the marketplace and anticipate those which will achieve significant fan bases.
• Create and manage internal communication decks as required.
• Create social media content calendars and monitor all social media pages.
• Direct and manage relations with internal digital team as well as 3rd party partners and agency clients.
• Using insights, analytics, and consumer insights to inform effective marketing initiatives and decisions.
• Direct and approve creative processes for all internal and external marketing collateral.
• Work closely with internal talent management and publishing teams to develop and maximize opportunities.
• Manage artist web properties, e-commerce stores with any updates, SEO optimization and keyword usage.
• Track and interpret data to compile reports for clients and others as needed.
• Develop relationships and secure promotions with online properties and technology platforms.
• Assess new technologies, partners and develop new opportunities.
• Manage digital paid media campaigns with media agency, agents, and labels.
• Manage email marketing communications for artists throughout projects.

Requirements:
• 3 years experience working in the music or entertainment fields implementing digital marketing campaigns and relationships with digital and social partners.
• Passion for music, social media, lifestyle blogs, and discovers new music in interesting ways.
• Reads blogs (tech and entertainment) every day, installs every new app just to try it out
• You are excited by a collaborative high-volume work environment
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with many changeable demands and priorities, requiring scheduling flexibility, positive demeanor and a “can do” attitude.
• A passion for music and live events, interest in understanding how content performs, leveraging available platforms and data.
• Natural storyteller who understands the brand DNA, voice, and aesthetics.
• Strong organizational and copywriting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar and spelling.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Video Editing Programs (Final Cut Pro, Premiere, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and Basic HTML experience is a major bonus.

Social Media & Influencer Marketing Specialist

PRIMARY ROLE:
Primary Wave seeks an Social Media and Influencer Marketing Specialist to help market its rapidly growing portfolio of iconic music rights. As Influencer Marketing Specialist, your main focus will be identifying trends across platforms; namely: TikTok, Triller, Instagram, Youtube, etc. as they emerge and driving best-in-class strategy and execution to leverage and integrate our artist and song catalog with. As our company culture and environment is incredibly collaborative, you will work hand in hand with our digital, brand and synch teams.

Manager, Business & Legal Affairs (New York, NY)

We seek an enthusiastic music business attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset to join Primary Wave’s Business & Legal Affairs department. This role will be full-time with a flexible in-office and remote work schedule, and will support our team on matters spanning all areas of the company.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant music industry experience, with at least 2 as an attorney (in-house or private practice)
• New York State Bar admission
• Strong abilities to multi-task, organize, and communicate complex information in a condensed and effective manner, work thoroughly but efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and offer creative, practical, and business-minded solutions to legal issues
• Working knowledge of the music business, and music publishing and master recording rights
• Experience with analysis of music publishing and recording contracts, music contract administration, and drafting and negotiating music and other transactional documents

Prior (i) business affairs, copyright department, or contract management roles, (ii) exposure to film, television, live stage or other original content development, production, and/or licensing, and (ii) corporate law training are not required, but all a plus

Responsibilities Include:
• Negotiating and drafting contracts (including non-disclosure, license, artist management, co-publishing and administration, and branding/sponsorship agreements)
• Coordinating and conducting catalog acquisition due diligence and preparing asset schedules
• Managing contracts for Primary Wave’s existing catalogs
• Promptly responding to requests from a variety of Primary Wave departments, including with regard to contract option renewals, implementation of letters of direction, sync, interpolation, and other use approvals and licenses, and royalty audit rights
• Staying current on copyright and other legal issues affecting music assets and/or Primary Wave’s contractual rights
• Maintaining contract and document resource files

Financial Analyst (New York, NY)

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a dedicated work ethic and a sharp mind who will be responsible for financial modeling, business planning, and reporting. This position reports to the CFO and will play an integral role in support for investor relations.

As the Financial Analyst, we will rely on you to successfully perform the following duties:
• Preparing and maintaining 3-statement financial models to project fund performance, capital accounts, returns and tax consequences
• Modeling “what if” scenarios with respect to partner allocation and return streams
• Preparing annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and measuring performance against both
• Leading FP&A with regard to Net Publisher’s Share revenue and other key performance indicators (KPIs) through communication with the royalties & data team & marketing teams, trend analysis, and other big data research
• Working with accounting and investment teams to build out annual and quarterly reporting metrics and financial disclosures
• Participate in investor relations as pertains to fund performance and tax planning
• Performing ad-hoc special projects to support management and investor needs
•Communicating regularly and effectively with management to ensure accuracy of real-time decisions

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, along with 5+ years of relevant finance work experience

Bookkeeper (New York, NY)

Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a dedicated work ethic and a sharp mind who will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, data entry, GL coding, and month-end
closing processes. This role reports to the Fund Controller.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Accounts Payable – expense report reconciliations, coding, and processing vendor invoices to enter approval queue. Researching and resolving vendor invoice and payment issues. Other A/P-related duties as needed.
• Accounts Receivable – invoicing clients as needed, reconciling payments received and assisting the income tracking team in following up on receivables.
• Performing bank account, credit card and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Journal Entries/Month-End Closing – Working with the Fund Controller to book month-end entries such as expense accruals, prepaid and other close entries, and running Financial Statements.
• Monitoring and maintaining an impeccable internal control environment.
• Handling year-end tax reporting requirements such as 1099 and 1042 filings.
• Performing ad-hoc special projects as needed.
• Communicating regularly and effectively with management to ensure accuracy of real-time decisions.

Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree required, with 3+ years of relevant finance work experience
• Mix of private equity, private and public bookkeeping preferred
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles required
• Experience with enterprise software; experience with Sage Intacct and other AP systems a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines with varying degrees of pressure and able to handle confidential information responsibly
