A&R COORDINATOR (Los Angeles)
The Primary Wave creative department is seeking a Los Angeles-based A&R Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter looking to build their music business skills within a rapidly growing company.
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute creative and administrative support to all projects across A&R Department activity
- Identify great artists, songwriters, producers, and songs through research and listening
- Attend and participate in various creative meetings and a weekly all-staff meeting
- Manage client calendars and coordinate schedules for writing sessions
- Maintain client one sheets and update rosters with new acquisitions/partnerships
- Liaise with clients, artists, and their representatives to obtain music assets and rights information for the registration process
- Coordinate scheduling, agendas, and set up for internal and external meetings
- Maintain and update internal pitch tracking sheets and contact databases
Role Requirements:
- Must be LA-based or willing to re-locate
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and not afraid to tackle a challenge
- Must be enthusiastic about the contemporary music business and have a basic awareness of key artists, labels, and other players
- Has at least 2 years’ experience working in music publishing, licensing, or a similar music industry role
