The Primary Wave Racial Equality Task Force is excited to bring back our holiday donation company match initiative. This year the Task Force has selected Diversify The Stage as our charity partner. All funds raised will directly support their 2022 Apprenticeship Program which provides career opportunities in the music and live entertainment industry to underrepresented communities.
NOW until January 3, 2022, we encourage all Primary Wave employees to make a personal donation to this cause and then Primary Wave WILL BE MATCHING our collective donation to make the biggest impact possible.
*This is an unique donation code just for Primary Wave so all donations will be properly tracked for matching purposes.
Last year we collectively donated $5,000 to Black Music Action Coalition. This year we look forward to raising the bar! Thank you all for your support to this wonderful cause.
About Diversify The Stage
Diversify The Stage was founded by Pollstar’s Heroes of Live Award recipient Noelle Scaggs, co-lead vocalist of alt-pop band Fitz And The Tantrums, in the spring of 2020, with a focus on transforming the concert, events, and touring industries to increase more diverse representation. The organization counts on the support of industry professionals and artists to collectively and actively build a culture of accountability that establishes more inclusive hiring practices and greater access to equitable opportunities for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC); Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ); Female-identifying and Gender Nonconforming individuals. In less than a year, Diversify The Stage has set forth long-term change by partnering with the like-minded Community Engagement organizations like Music Forward Foundation, SoundGirls, Women In Music and She Is The Music to create educational and mentorship programs followed by paid internship / apprenticeship placements, in addition to working with NeverFamous.com to create a technical solution to hiring qualified touring staff. DTS launched its first major initiative the DTS Inclusion Initiative, November 2021 alongside some from the biggest players in the industry, including Live Nation, Live Nation Urban, C3 Presents, WME, UTA, CAA, AEG Presents, Wasserman), National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), as well as, stage suppliers and designers, TAIT. The initiative aims to create more standard practices of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility in the live entertainment and production space for historically marginalized and/or underrepresented groups.
