FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“What’s Really Good?” The New Single From Brayton Bowman Premieres on Ebro Darden’s Beats 1 Show
“The out singer you’ll want to know in 2016.”
– Huffington Post
“There’s finger-snapping, soulful belting, brutally  slamming lyrics, and a bridge that’ll wrap you up in its majesty and never let go.”
– Spin (on single “Real”)
“A danceable groove that takes classic elements of 70s funk and transforms them for modern day. The syncopated electric guitar riffs and heavy drum patters provide the perfect backdrop for Bowman’s velvety vocals.”
– Idolator (on single “Runaway”)
“His up-tempo crooning is underscored by a funky, original beat, elevating the source material into something totally his own.”
 – Complex (on mashup “Justin’s Hotline”)
“Brilliant”
  – Pigeons and Planes (on mashup “Justin’s Hotline”)
“It’s one of those songs where every rhythm, lyric, key change and vocal
performance flawlessly melds together — and later has you scrambling by song’s end
to find out the voice behind it.”
– SoulBounce (on single “Jaywalk”)
New York, NY (July 13, 2016) – Critically  acclaimed  artist Brayton Bowman partnered with Beats 1 and Ebro Darden to premiere his latest single, “What’s Really Good?” The MNEK produced track hit the airwaves last night, July 12 at 6:30pm with Darden saying, “The kid is nice. He’s got pop, dance and soul covered on one track.” The single is off Brayton’s upcoming EP  22 Minutes Later  which will be released fourth  quarter 2016 . Produced by MNEK as well, 22 Minutes Later  is the third installment in Brayton’s trilogy of EP’s – his debut  HERE / NOW  and his sophomore release  THE UPDATE . Both releases hit digital retailers in 2015 and received incredible response. Spin named him one of their 5 Artists to Watch in May 2015 and coverage poured in from the likes of Billboard, Kick Kick Snare, Idolator, Buzzed, Complex, Huffington Post, The Music Ninja and more.
Brayton recently performed “What’s Really Good?” and other hits at LA’s PRIDE Festival in June and had the crowd in tears.  YouTube personality and activist Tyler Oakley attended saying, “Saw Brayton Bowman perform at Pride this weekend and was blown away.”
About Brayton Bowman:
Brayton Bowman has an energy that is highly contagious. Sitting in a café on Melrose Avenue, you’d think you’ve known him for years but truth is, you’ve only just met. Born on Friday the 13 th in Philadelphia, his energy reeks of street-rat slam poets and city-slicker sentiment. It made sense that he found refuge in The Philadelphia High School for Creative & Performing Arts. Studying classical and choral music rigorously and dabbling in musical theatre, his high school days laid the foundation for his artistic identity.  Upon graduating, he moved up to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music where he overdosed on Jazz Theory and ultimately, decided to take some time off to write his own original music.  High on the notion that he could create whatever he wanted, Brayton packed his bags and moved to New York City. The move proved to be the right one for him. Within months of moving, he released his first debut EP. Splitting his time between Upper Manhattan and East London, Brayton spent every last penny on plane tickets to get to his studio sessions.  After months of traveling, he dropped his sophomore EP.  Currently residing in Los Angeles, Brayton continues to bounce back and forth to London whenever he can.  Anything but disingenuous, Brayton’s personality candidly shines through on all of his music. You will fall in love at first listen and with your breath having been sufficiently baited; you’ll wait patiently for more.
