New York, NY (June 6, 2025) – Four-time Grammy-nominated R&B artist, Eric Benét announces today the release of his new album The Co-Star, available now on all streaming platforms!
Marking his first full-length offering in almost a decade, Benét expands upon the concept of his recent DUETS EP to bring forth an idea almost 10 years in the making. Over the course of the 13-track album, Benét positions himself as the “co-star” to a cast of high-caliber duet partners – highlighting some of the genre’s most iconic female voices. Using classic R&B as a vehicle to fuse both old and new sounds, The Co-Star promises to take listeners on a genre-bending journey with each collaboration.
Intentional with every vocal partner, Benét enlists the likes of various Grammy Award-winners, multi-time nominees, and up-and-coming musical tastemakers, including Ari Lennox, Alex Isley, India.Arie, Judith Hill, Goapele, Melanie Fiona, Jordin Sparks and Autumn Paige. Throughout the album, Benét even calls upon artists like all-female Brazilian music trio SalDoce to connect bossa nova beats, and vocal powerhouse Pia Toscano to balance swelling orchestral moments.
He is also joined by notable names from his recent chart-topping EP like Chanté Moore, Tamar Braxton, Ledisi, LaTocha, and Corinne Bailey Rae. An undoubtably strong return to the Billboard Adult R&B Charts, the EP’s “Something We Can Make Love To” with Tamar Braxton peaked at #1, as “So Distracted” with Chanté Moore continues to claim the charts with a Top 5 position. Once again tapping in some of genre’s strongest female voices for this latest project, Benét boasts yet another ground-breaking re-entry to the R&B space with The Co-Star.
