Primary Wave Music Publishing acquires an interest in the song catalog of Maurice White, founder of Earth, Wind & Fire

NEW YORK, NY, MAY 23, 2007 — Primary Wave Music Publishing today announced that it has acquired an interest in the entire song catalog of Maurice White, the founder and frontman of Earth, Wind & Fire. Among the top hits included in the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter’s catalog are “Fantasy,” “Shining Star,” “September,” and “Sing a Song.”
Earth, Wind & Fire has fused a wide range of music genres such as soul, funk, gospel, pop and R&B. The world-renowned group has produced 15 hit singles and 26 gold and platinum albums. White has also served as a producer for Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, Jennifer Holliday and The Emotions.
