New York, NY (June 9, 2017) – Primary Wave Music Publishing, one of the leading U.S. independent music publishing companies, announced today a deal with the five-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, and producer, CeeLo Green and his newly formed Octopus Publishing. Primary Wave will provide financing to the Atlanta-based publishing company, allowing Octopus Publishing to use its tentacles to find the hottest new writers and producers in the business. CeeLo Green, generally regarded as one of the worlds great lyricists, will focus more of his time finding the great writers and the composers of tomorrow.
Of this new joint venture with Primary Wave Music Publishing, Green said “The solidarity shown with this public statement reaffirms a bond of business, loyalty, and logic.” He goes on, “Although accomplished in my own right, my plan is to continue learning under the expertise of Larry Mestel and company.”
