This year at SXSW, Primary Wave artists and clients named their Top 3 moments of SXSW 2012. See their picks below!

LP:
“SXSW was the best yet!…met so many amazing people there…a woman came to see us with 5 friends all the way from Arizona which is well….amazing!….i would say to an artist going down for the first time to plan that shit…you should try to tour your way there and back…..get some sleep before and rock it….my favorite show might have been our show for Hotel Cafe which was in a beautiful old church (St. David's)….i might just do a 'churches only' tour!!…who knows…all the shows were killer….good times!”

SXSW was crazy fun all round really but my fav bits were playing The Driskill Hotel on Brazos, that venue suited us down to the ground with the red velvet curtains and dramatic decor and the crowd was SO lovely! Plus our show at the McGarrah Jessee roof party was a fab experience, we've never done a gig as high up as that before, it was incredible!
We also went to see Ben Howard and his band and they were brilliant, I really enjoyed their show! Food wise, we found this amazing little crepe place, I had ‘The Norwegian’ one with smoked salmon, sour cream, capers etc and it was seriously the tastiest thing going! Unfortunately we didn’t head to too many parties, probably a good thing though, you wouldn’t have been able to shut me up so I would’ve had no voice to sing with! Yikes!

1. Cubic Zirconia 90's house party, complete with voguing.
2. MNDR's Amanda Warner flashing her crotch to the crowd.
3. Grimes crashing the sound system.

1. Playing all of the awesome shows that we did and meeting our lovely fans!
2. Making new relationship with Ultimate Ears / Logitech and all of us getting our custom in-ear molds done at the gear expo! Rad.
3. Eating at Veggie Heaven and The Vegan Yacht.
4. Seeing The Used perform finally.
5. Personally meeting a lot of the other artists and bloggers/writers/industry folks that we work along side in the music world

Number one: I had the pleasure of playing at a Daniel Johnston tribute night with the man himself present. I resisted the urge to meet him for about 7 hours, even though he was standing right by me most of the time. It was a mix of not wanting to bother him and the fear that he may not live up to my expectations. After I played I eventually realised that I was being ridiculous. I went up and shook his hand and told him it was an honour to be on the gig with him and sing one of his song's, to which he replied “hey th th thanks man. Do you know what time I'm on?”. Priceless!
Number two: Playing at the Presbyterian church with M. Ward, where I accidentally cursed during the intro to one of the songs. Much to my surprise, lightning didn't strike me down….what an epiphany. The night was beautiful.
Number three: I stayed out of town in a place called Wimberly. It was my friend's place out in the sticks. It was so peaceful out there. Deer walked through the garden every morning, bull frogs sang at night and during the afternoon we'd go and see a long horn bull called Marcus; we'd look at him in awe and he'd look at us occasionally as if to say……”meh”. On top of that, a woman in the local shop said that I spoke “very good English for an Irish man“. I was desperate to say 'funny that how that works eh' but instead I just smiled and said 'thanks'.
Where would you get it!

SXSW is absolute madness! But good madness… My top 3 favorite moments were:
1. Eating delicious BBQ at Stubbs like a real Texan
2. Zig-zagging drunk through the chaos many a time on a pedi-cab
3. Playing a show for The British Embassy… representing the Queen across the ocean.
