14-TRACK ALBUM TO FEATURE SELECT RARE, AND PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED RADIO RECORDINGS
OUT NOW ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS!
The Bing Crosby Estate is pleased to treat fans and jazz lovers everywhere with the latest album, Bing Crosby Sings the Cole Porter Songbook. Released via Primary Wave Music and Virgin Music, the full-length project is available to stream on all platforms today!
Bringing together a collection of 14 timeless classics from the golden age of jazz, this latest release provides listeners with Crosby’s unique renditions of favorites from the renown composer and songwriter, Cole Porter. Joining the ranks of other iconic artists like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, who have paid homage to Porter’s legendary songbook, Crosby adds his charming spin on classic hits like “You’re The Top,” “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “Night and Day,” and many more. Fans can now experience the smooth, crooning voice of Crosby with new masters, as he celebrates and interprets Porter’s sophisticated lyricism and infectious melodies. “We are thrilled that the Bing Crosby Estate and Primary Wave Music will be releasing Bing Crosby’s beautiful interpretations of Cole Porter’s classic songbook,” shares Charles H. Googe, Jr., Trustee of the Cole Porter Musical and Literary Trusts. “The album is a wonderful tribute to two gifted legends and is sure to be an exciting listen for fans of both.” Filled with rare, high-quality recordings straight from Bing’s radio tapings in the 1950s, the album brings select songs to streaming for the very first time. As one of the 20th century’s greatest multi-media stars, Crosby’s presence was integral across the development of audio recordings, motion pictures, and radio broadcasting – a legacy that is carried on today and optimized through new releases in the era of streaming. Bing Crosby Sings the Cole Porter Songbook follows the recent release of the album’s first single, “What Is This Thing Called Love?” this past April, which arrived just in time for Jazz Appreciation Month. As the first full-length release of 2024, fans can stay tuned for even more to come from the Crosby Estate throughout the year!
