The One & Only PPL MVR Signs Co-Publishing Deal With Primary Wave

June 16th, 2015

PRIMARY WAVE SIGNS WORLDWIDE CO-PUBLISHING DEAL WITH THE ONE AND ONLY PPL MVR

The World’s Craziest & Hairiest Band that Broke onto the Scene At the 2015 Sundance Film Festival

New York, N.Y. (June 16, 2015) — The One and Only PPL MVR (pronounced People Mover), has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with Primary Wave Music Publishing under their joint venture with BMG. The rock band, who has been dubbed as the craziest and hairiest band in the world, has been making spectacles nationwide since they first walked off the mountains and hit the scene at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Signed to Elektra Records, the three band creatures released their debut EP “The One and Only PPL MVR” on April 20, which features their self-titled, first single “People Mover,” that premiered on NPR, and introduced the world to their garage-rock sound with roaring synth-effected vocals and paired with ragging guitars, grunts and growls.

As Billboard explains, “They look like three deranged versions of Chewbacca from Star Wars, and they communicate largely with screams, groans, and foot stomps,” but when they hit the stage their music is not a spectacle or joke, it’s real and generating great buzz from music critics. PPL MVR was recognized by Alternative Press Magazine as one of the “100 Bands to Watch in 2015;” NME chose them as their “Buzz Band of the Week;” Kerrang! Magazine added PPL MVR to their list of “21 Artists Shaping the Future of Rock;” and just recently, Vice exclusively premiered their new music video for “Let’s Take This Outside.”  Additionally, the primal-rock trio sold out Hollywood’s Bardot Lounge in February and has upcoming shows at iHeartComix Los Globos (6/23 in Los Angeles), Summerfest 2015 (6/30 in Milwaukee), Pemberton Music Festival (7/18 in Canada), Rock The Shores (7/19 in Canada), and Festival Supreme(10/10 in Los Angeles).     Additionally, PPL MVR is signed to the Talent Management roster at Primary Wave Entertainment and is currently working on new music.
