PRIMARY WAVE TURNS UP THE VOLUME ON STAFF

September 14th, 2020

SIX NEW TEAM MEMBERS JOIN THE COMPANY AND GENERATE IMMEDIATE RESULTS WITH BRANDS SUCH AS OAKLEY, KEDS, SIRIUSXM & MORE

WITH THE AGGRESSIVE NUMBER OF SIGNINGS, PRIMARY WAVE IS COMMITTED TO DELIVERING RESULTS ACROSS ALL CATALOGS

Since the start of the year, Primary Wave Music has announced both music-publishing acquisitions and management signings nearly every month. In an effort to support their growing roster of legendary and iconic artists, the company has announced they have hired six new team members to both their branding and digital marketing divisions. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent development deal Primary Wave launched with Tony-Award winning producer Ken Davenport, who has hit the ground running pitching our vast catalog of music to develop a variety of projects. Commenting on the company’s growth Adam Lowenberg, Primary Wave’s Chief Marketing Officer, said, “No other publisher or management company in the world has built a team that matches our marketing firepower. These considerable additions will enable us to continue being innovative and leaders in the publishing and management space.” In just a few short months, the new additions to the team have already confirmed partnerships with huge brands such as Oakley Sunglasses, SiriusXM, Keds, Red Bull and more.

Joining our branding team as SVP, Brand Partnerships is Samira Qureshi. Samira comes to Primary Wave from Disney and brings over 20 years of sales experience to the table. Lisa Fruggiero, a 15-year marketing executive, joins the team as VP, Brand Partnerships. Originally hired as a member of the digital team, Sam Sklover moved seamlessly into branding as Creative Marketing Manager and, in just a few short months, has brought in significant brand deals for Alice Cooper and Cypress Hill. Samira and Sam are based in Primary Wave’s New York office, while Lisa will be working from the company’s new Austin space. All three will report to Primary Wave’s Chief Branding Officer, Jeffery Straughn, who said, “Our team is running on all pistons and the results speak for themselves. I couldn’t be happier with both the chemistry and productivity.”

The company’s already impressive digital team continues to grow, adding three new people to the department. James Janocha joins Primary Wave as Manager, Digital Marketing, and brings ten years of music industry experience to the team. He has hit the ground running overseeing and launching digital marketing campaigns for the likes of Cypress Hill, Alice Cooper, Godsmack and more. Hadar Baron and Kasey Felix join Primary Wave as digital marketing assistants and have both become integral parts of the team. Hadar has helped to expand Primary Wave’s presence across all social media channels, as well as support strategic marketing initiatives and artist song catalogs with fresh ideas and approach. Kasey was originally introduced to Primary Wave as an intern and left such an impression on the team, she was hired right after graduation. She is currently supporting and developing new ideas for our roster of artists including Melissa Etheridge, Plain White T’s, Fantasia and others. All three will be based in the company’s New York office and will report to Robert Dippold, Primary Wave’s Partner & President, Digital Strategy.

In addition to these new hires, Dippold promoted Mike Fordham to Director, Streaming and Playlist Marketing. Of the promotion Dippold said, “Mike has immediately made an impact since joining our team and has quickly developed and executed a number of creative marketing campaigns, leveraging various DSP platforms as well as helping to revitalize songs and catalogs across streaming platforms.” He continues, “We are offering and executing proactive one-of-a-kind ideas, unique services and marketing campaigns for our artists, which is another example of how we remain leaders in our field.”
