SUMMER-CAMP CONCERT TOUR CAMPLIFIED™ KICKS-OFF 14th SEASON ON JULY 2nd

Bringing a Branded Music Festival Experience to Summer Camps Across the US

NEW YORK, N.Y. (July 2, 2015) — Hitting the road for the 14th year, summer concert tour and branded festival experience, Camplified, kicks off today at Camp Southwoods in Paradox, NY. Camplified will transform camps across the nation into music festivals; complete with a day full of sponsor-branded activities, music performances by bands of all genres, and capping the night with a live DJ set for campers at the appropriately titled, “Electric Canteen.” This summer, Camplified, will be making stops at over 30 summer camps nationwide from July 2nd to August 8th and will reach over 30,000 taste-making teens and tweens.

“Camp is the place where lifetime memories are made,” says Mike Karp, Director of New Hampshire’s Camp Winaukee. “What brings you back to a time and place in your life more than a song?  We love that Camplified brings the best ‘up & coming’ talent to our campers, and gives them a day & night of activities they won’t forget.  And when they hear that artist on the radio or see them on TV even years later, the memory will bring them right back to Camplified at Camp Winaukee!”

The Camplified day culminates with the live concert, including performances by 3-4 emerging artists, a DJ set for the ‘after party’ and in true VIP style, campers receive a limited edition tour poster as well as a meet-n-greet and autograph signing session with the performers.  

“We take great pride in finding extremely talented ‘up & coming’ artists, that also have ‘something extra’ and I’m so proud to cheer on their accomplishments, even years later,” explains Aimee Berger, Founder of Camplified, who is noting the recent success of Camplified Alum Rachel Platten hitting #1 on the iTunes Sales Chart and performing with Taylor Swift

This year’s artists include Daniel In Stereo, DJ Kai Song (Ultra Records), Andrew Smith, Clear Pioneer, Laura (first US tour), DJ Aiden Jude (Crowd Records), Here’s To You, Kathyrn Dean, The Brady Brothers, States // Capitals, Rachel Fox (from Melissa and Joey, TED X Teens 2015), Drew Cayla, Gabrielle Ross, Ces Picerno, Carrie Lane and more!

Leading up to the show, sponsor-branded activities are run on-site with campers rotating through each station, and artists participating alongside, making ‘backstage access’ an all day event.  This year, branded activities include returning sponsors Scholastic, with the Scholastic Scavenger Hunts; activities that send campers on missions throughout their camps, following clues based on current Scholastic titles specifically selected for each age group.  Also returning is the Roland Instrument Clinic, where campers jam together, using Roland equipment.  This year campers will also be able to attend songwriting clinics held by Camplified artists.  For the EDM fans, Ultra Music and Pioneer DJ are partnering to host a DJ Workshop, teaching budding DJs how to rock the Pioneer DJ’s 13DDJ-WEG03 turntables and work with the DJ performing that night to produce a new remix in conjunction with Roland AIRA products
